From the clammy keyboard of my laptop comes this week’s letter.
I often get overwhelmed by all the decisions to be made in telling a story visually. What are the best moments to show? How should those moments be framed? What’s the most effective composition of those moments?
Working on my zine I figured out a process that makes all of these choices much less intimidating.
This letter is long, packed with pictures and I think will be really helpful for the filmmakers, comics artists and screenwriters among you. I recommend saving it for a quiet moment with a cup of tea.
