The little comic journals I have been filling my sketchbook with these past few weeks are bit personal to publish here, but I’m finding them a pleasing way of recording my experiences.
Comics can convey action and dialogue really well, but I like them most as a way of processing thoughts. Limited space forces you to break ideas down, to find the metaphor or emotion within them.
The drawing becomes a way of thinking.
My comics aren’t very good and I am trying to find the right combination of materials, but they are still more enjoyable to read back than words; a comfort right now as I weather my own storms.
Until next Sunday,
