I’m Adam Westbrook - a video artist, journalist and writer.

Among other things, I write and direct short films for The New York Times including the Emmy nominated Operation Infektion & Jaron Lanier Fixes The Internet.

Previously I wrote and directed films about everything from the creative secrets of Leonardo da Vinci, to why incompetence happens.

And I created a sci-fi web-series called Parallax.

Over the next two years and a hundred letters, I hit rock bottom, a pandemic struck and I discovered drawing. The many hundreds of readers of The Third Something have been with me all the way and been a source of comfort and friendship.
